We are so very blest to be able to spend time in Florida with Roy Wieland in the winter. The girls and I went to Jensen Beach in March, during Cecily's spring break from IPFW. Highlights are soaking up the sunshine while biking, walking the beach, swimming at the pool or reading on the deck. We also enjoy eating fresh fish, fresh fruits and vegetables and blessing Roy in whatever way we can. If we get too burnt in the sun, or if it is a rainy day, we resort to shopping.

Whitney and I also got in a little bit of beach volleyball this year.

We kept up on out reading through the old Testament for part of the week, while Whitney enjoyed her morning coffee.

Roy's in-laws, Barb and Dave Hangartner, were also there. We enjoyed puzzling with Barb and playing Scrabble with Dave.

This year Cecily touched up a picture that had faded in the sun which was hanging on the kitchen wall.

I have a tradition of going to the beach the morning before we leave and watching the sun rise. This year the girls went with me, which was very special. We walked the beach as the sun was rising and then got muffins at the beach cafe before walking back.

This time we flew into Orlando, so on the way home we went to the Holy Land Experience there. We really liked it. The displays and outdoor plays were really interesting. I also loved the singing fountain. One of the most moving things being an enactment of the crucifixion and resurrection.

I'm thankful for Roy, that he let's us share his beautiful home and setting there, and I'm thankful for my dear husband who blesses us by providing for us and allows me to travel without him when he feels like he just can't get away.
