It was a happy day today when I received a phone call from Shane saying that our newest grandchild had arrived. We were also delighted to take Gage and Kiera, who were staying with us, in to the hospital to meet him.
Shane and Laura named their new little guy Eric Robert. Shane had a brother who died in childhood by the name of Eric and Robert is Laura's dad's name.
Kiera was soooo delighted with "her" baby.
Grandpa could hardly wait for Gage to tire of holding Eric so that he could get his turn.
The visit was way too short, but since it was a school night we couldn't stay too long.
All of these pictures were taken before the little guy even got his first bath, so I'm sure he will look even cuter at the next go around at a photo shoot. Until then, I'm rejoicing that both mother and child are healthy and proud papa is standing by to do whatever he can. Thank you Lord for new life--it is truly a miracle, every time.
