My Grandkids
Don't I have the cutest grandkids? Kiera just turned three on Tuesday. She loved the princess dresses from her Mom and Dad!
Gage turns seven on October 19th. He is attending 1st grade at Harlan Elementary. Steve and I are planning to attend Grandparents Day with him next Tuesday.
They keep us on our toes when they are around. Nothing slips by them. I watched Kiera a couple of times this week. When we were driving in the car and leaving somewhere she would always ask, "Where are we going next, Grandma?" She was not hesitant to inform me that she didn't want to be buckled up, or take a nap. I think she knew what the answer was before she even said it.
Gage gets off of the bus at my house on Wednesdays. The other day I was impressed when the first thing he asked me was, "How is your finger, Grandma?" I had taped it the week before because I had jammed it playing volleyball and it was still hurting. It was no longer taped, but he still thought of asking me how I was. What a sweetheart!
Grandpa is trying to pull Gages's tooth. The cute story about this is that Steve was using dental floss and it kept slipping off. He went to the cupboard to get a toothpick to assist him. I whispered to Gage, "Pull it out before Grandpa gets back and surprise him." So he did! It surprised me.
I gave the kids some silly string and they attacked Grandpa with it.
Here we go again...there is a missing picture of Kiera with her name spelled out in clay too. It was in my blog when I was writing it, and it was in the preview, but when I published the post it disappeared. Does anyone have any advice for me?
I'm a homeschooling mom, whose been at that profession for 23 years now. Do I ever get tired and want to quit? YES. Am I afraid of doing the hard thing? Well, YES, but I do what I do by the strength and wisdom of a loving God and Father who gives me grace for each new day. Knowing the results are up to HIM. I learned that the hard way.
