Visiting St Paul, MN in Sept 2009
Steve had a business trip to Minnesota and I traveled with him. We spent the night in Minneapolis and then he drove three hours farther to tour a plant and visit a vendor for the company. Jim picked me up and took me to St. Paul, where he and Krissa live and work. I walked around St Paul, spent time at their apartment and we met Krissa for lunch.
They have such a cute place for a newlywed couple--so different than life for me. I enjoyed seeing them in their little corner of the world
While walking around St Paul, I saw this sign and it really made me laugh (formerly being Lutheran and all.) Steve enjoyed listening to Garrison Keiler's "Lake Wobegon". It reminded me of that.
I'm a homeschooling mom, whose been at that profession for 23 years now. Do I ever get tired and want to quit? YES. Am I afraid of doing the hard thing? Well, YES, but I do what I do by the strength and wisdom of a loving God and Father who gives me grace for each new day. Knowing the results are up to HIM. I learned that the hard way.
what a cool apartment! and that sign is really funny. :) we love lake wobegon stories.
